My Dinner Serenades

This is what I often get to watch on weeknights as I have dinner with the kids- nightly serenades from my Jakey!!  I love that he loves to sing, dance and play music!

Birthday fun

One of my favorite coworkers Kelly moved into our neighborhood recently, and she has a son whom Jake just adores.   We went to her house for what we thought was just a little BBQ, but turned out to be a full blown amazing pirate birthday party! Jake was in heaven- pirates, pinatas, swing set and best buddies- what more could a little guy ask for?   The girls weren't in the best of moods, so they missed out on the fun.  After Caden's party, we headed to another get together as the Drogin's house with all of the kids- sadly I missed out on a pic of all of our growing children, but had fun watching the chaos of 8 kids together!

I love this pic:  Caden took one swing, and Jake thought the whole pinata would break open immediately- look at that excitement!  Little did he know that it was the strongest pinata ever, and took about 15 min of hits for it to finally pop open!

Giants Game

Uncle Mark invited Josh and Jake to the Giants game yesterday, and it sounds like they all had a great time!   They all even got to see and touch the World Series trophies!  The face and pose of Jake with the trophies is just too funny!

 

Soccer

Jake's soccer class at school as well as his weekend class have concluded for the season.  He will be taking a short break before he starts up with his first (and our first) experience with the famed AYSO in the fall.   He definitely seems pretty excited about the sport...although actually passing the ball is of little interest to him (hmmm...just like sharing his toys with his sisters!). 

 

13 Months Old

Addison and Colbie are 13 months old today!
As of today, Addison if really walking from room to room- still very cautious, but definitely enjoying it more and more each day.  Addy is also blowing kisses and saying hi and bye-bye to all.  Ms. Colbie is also blowing kisses- although she kind of walks around with her lips pursed ready for endless kisses to anyone these days.

Hometown Days

It's Hometown Days here again, so the weekend has been a blast so far.  The parade was this morning, filled with every school aged kid in the city marching with their school, troop, club or band.  Jake had an absolute blast of course.  Then we hit up the jumpy house madness for many hours...we'll be going back tomorrow for more fun!

 

 

Wonderful Mother's Day Weekend

What a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend!  Josh made quite an effort this weekend to do as much of the cleaning, dishes, etc as he could, which was very sweet.  I didn't really have to cook for the entire weekend, which was a wonderful treat!!!  Saturday was fun family time all day, and then wonderful Lee Lee and Grandpa Bill came over.  After opening a few gifts, they watched all of the kids while Josh and I went to dinner.  It was such a nice little break, and we thank you so much Lee and Bill!  Sunday I spent the morning with the girls while Josh and Jake went to soccer class.  But then I was sent to our little local spa for a TWO hour mani/pedi!  It was just ridiculously fabulous (I actually got through TWO magazines, which is unheard of in my household now).  In the afternoon, my parents stopped by for a quick Mother's day visit, and then we played outside for the afternoon.
It was a mellow, but wonderful Mother's Day weekend.  Many thanks to Josh!!

Motherhood has taught me so much; patience, unconditional love, to enjoy the little things, the joy of being silly and of course, a whole new level of organizational skills!   This year of motherhood has been filled with ups and downs, but I think I've got this mother-of-three thing down now!  Truly, I can't imagine life any other way any more!

Happy Mother's Day to our amazing mothers!!   Josh and I feel incredibly lucky to have been raised by such fantastic women.   We are blessed that our children get to have you as their Grandmas!

Outdoor Fun

With the absolutely gorgeous weather recently, we spent much of the weekend outside.   Thanks to Aunt Lynda and Uncle Bruce again for the great water table...the girls just love it (as does Jake!).  

Bath Time!

The kids LOVE to take a bath all together these days.  It's pure chaos, lots of giggles, and absolutely exhausting...but so fun!
