13 Years!

Happy 13th Anniversary to Josh and I!!   It is hard to believe that our wedding was 13 years ago.   We watched this video that was made for our rehearsal dinner as a family today.  I'm still looking for the wedding video to share with the kids, but the kids got quite a kick out of seeing all of these pictures of Josh and I growing up in this video. 

We walked downtown after Josh finished up work for a delicious Greek dinner to celebrate. 

Earlier in the day, it was SLIME day for the kids and I before swim lessons.  We spent not two, not three, but FOUR hours trying and creating new slime recipes today!   It turned out to be a messy but fun, gorgeous day today.

 

 

 

STEAM Week

The kids voted on a STEAM week theme for home camp this week.   That meant a morning of Minecraft world creating, then some science, crafting and engineering in Makerspace.

But first, this guy made his very own pancake breakfast all by himself!!

S'mores solar ovens....our skateboard pad boxes worked perfectly for this science experiment.  And man was it yummy!!

Addy did some sewing with scraps, while Colbie and Jake worked on creating their very own board games from scratch!

 The afternoon was spent at the park practicing skateboarding before Jake had basketball practice.

And quick note about our great visit to Fort Funston this weekend in SF- it was SO much spacious than any place in Half Moon Bay- so fun!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today was a fantastically fun Thanksgiving day at our house for Holiday Week .   Our kids LOVE to cook and bake, and they have been thinking up a Thanksgiving feast menu for a week now.   They each picked a "main dish, side dish and dessert" after going through many recipe books or inventing recipes on their own, and they cooked EVERYTHING on their own.   We spent the vast majority of the day in the kitchen today, but somehow it all worked!   Our feast was enormous and will feed us for days, and the kids were so incredibly proud of their dishes and congratulatory of each others too.  In between cooking we made a gratitude tree and had music lessons via zoom.  We are stuffed to the brim, but thankful and happy for our family, health and blessings.
