Updates

Yikes, not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep this blog going- I keep forgetting to update it!

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!  The kids made a leprechaun trap again this year, and the little guy escaped again, leaving behind gold coins throughout the house.

We've hit the pool with the kids with this sunshine lately- gotta get them all back into swim lessons soon, as they want to be little fish!

Jake has been helping with bedtime stories- just melts my heart every time!
The girls are doing much better on playdates- less shy, more talkative and inclusive thank goodness!
Jake got a ride to the Farmers Market, lucky kid.
All three of my kids want to try tennis.  Of course it happens when Josh can't walk or stand really.  But I took the girls over to the tennis courts- they of course hardly made it over the net which upset them and ended the whole thing in tears, but they will get there.
As I mentioned in a previous post, Colbie chopped a large portion of the underside of her hair (including all of her curls) off a couple of weeks ago.  I've been begging her to let me fix it, and finally this past weekend she let me.  She is SO happy with her new short hair...and it looks SOOOO much better.  She is so excited about it in fact, that it's make Addy kind of sad, and now SHE wants short hair too.  We'll see how long I can push her off- it's so nice to have them clearly look different from each other!!  Here is Colbie's new bob:

A bunch of the second grade Moms did another race this past weekend.  It was just a 10K around the Stanford campus, but it was so nice to get a morning away with these ladies and run for fun.   Our group is growing, so I think our next race may include many more which will be great!

Beach and Baseball

A few updates from last week:

Jake played his second baseball game as a member of the A's.  He is enjoying it even without Josh being able to coach.  (For those who don't know, Josh got an infection after his achilles surgery, so he had to go back into surgery a week and a half ago to clean it all out and unfortunately open the wound back up.  He now has a wound vac attached to his leg 24 hours a day for the next month in order to speed up the closure of this open wound.  At that point, he will start up physical therapy again, and we'll go from there).

With the gorgeous weather, I took the kids to the beach on Saturday.   We headed to our favorite spot in Half Moon Bay, and the recent storms have made the lagoon enormous and shallow- perfect for safe kid fun.   By the end of the afternoon Colbie was calling herself "Adventure Girl" as she is getting more and more confident and comfortable exploring places and people farther away from me.  For this, I'm extremely grateful and encouraged by!

Checking out the St. Patty's Day gear:
Jake gets to wear his club soccer practice uniform to school twice a week now (less need to change quickly after school if he just wears it to school).  It comes with this cool jacket.

The girls had fun painting some creations for Tia Erica and Baby Sabrina- secret stuff arriving in Morocco soon!

1 Second A Day

A friend of mine told me about this fun app that grabs 1 second of pictures or video from your phone and compiles them into a quick video as a great recap.   I put in the last two months- what a two months it has been!
