Singing herself to sleep

Our little Addy just loves to sing.  Lately she has taken to singing for lonnnggg periods of time before actually falling asleep. Colbie will join in, but for the most part, it's Addy singing solo in her crib.  I caught it last night on the monitor:

My baking buddies

I tend to have quite a bit of time to hang with my three kiddos by myself these days ( due to our overworked Josh), so we've been trying new things to keep us all busy and happy.  This weekend I brought out the muffin tins, baking pans and a bunch of boxed mixes (requiring lots of mixing but not too many ingredients) and put them all to work.  Baking was a BIG hit with all three of them, and boy what a mess we made together!!!

Yeah for warm weather!

It was so nice to spend the afternoon outside today, just hanging out with our little family.  The kids pulled out their shovels and buckets and helped me garden. Great day!

Dada/Jakey Day

Josh had President's day off, so he and Jake got to spend a much needed entire day of fun together.  Between pancakes, Lego Movie, tennis, toy store and ice cream, they both came home exhausted but so happy.  

Julia's Wedding

We took the whole fam up to Vacaville yesterday for cousin Julia's wedding celebration.  Julia looked absolutely gorgeous and was truly glowing with joy.  All of the kids did quite well through dinner.  I've learned my lesson though- always, always bring back up dinner food for the kids.  As Jake is especially picky, and quickly turns grumpy if he is hungry, we did have to leave about 7:00 and miss the fun cake, dancing, etc.       
We've made many mental notes in preparation for the next Goines wedding coming up in just two months!!  What a year of celebrations 2014 will be!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day friends and family!!  Our little twin cupids and Dr. Love are having a wonderful day!   They awoke to our Valentine's tree lit up (yes, I haven't taken down our little tree yet, so it has become a V-Day tree!) and heart breakfast treats.  I can't wait to see the fun Valentine's cards that Jake comes home from school with today- and I'm so sad that I didn't get a picture of the ones he and I made (bouncy balls with a "Have a BALL this Valentine's Day" notes).   Hope you're having a great too!
