Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year friends and family!!   2017 is going to be a great one!
We've had a fun NYE- pick-up basketball for Jake and Dada with friends, park time for the girls, silly string fight in the backyard, and major balloon drop in our living room for our NYE countdown.     Great memories, lots of fun, and lots to clean up tomorrow :)

I stuffed over a hundred balloons and a ton of confetti in this balloon drop- and it was beautiful falling!

Front Tooth

Jake's front tooth has been loose for weeks!  He touches it constantly, and was determined to keep it in his mouth until Christmas Eve so that both Santa and the Tooth Fairy would visit him on the same evening (geezz!).  Well, it didn't come out on Christmas Eve, so Josh and I begged and begged to let us pull it out, and he refused.  Last night in the middle of the night, Jake came down the stairs holding his tooth- apparently it just fell out- thank goodness he didn't swallow it in his sleep!    He does look awfully cute with his tooth missing!

SF Day

With everyone home this week, we decided to head up to SF for the day for some family fun.  We headed to the Academy of Sciences first, one of our favs.  The girls are finally old enough to actually be interested in what the displays are about, so it was a fun visit.  Afterwards we headed over to the Marina and swung by our old house, and ended up at Ghirardelli Square.  It was such a beautiful day, we ended up at the beach!

Merry Christmas!

Wow...we're still recovering from the wild day yesterday, but Merry Christmas family and friends!   Josh and I wrapped and wrapped on Christmas Eve night, and at 5:10am the excited whispers began on Christmas morning- it felt way too early!   But, we all got up, and began the festivities while it was still pitch black outside.  Santa was nice this year- with lots of play/pretend items for the girls and it was a Pokemon Christmas for Jake.  It was very sweet- the very first gifts that the kids wanted to open were the many things that they had wrapped up for each other.  They had spent much of December wrapping up random things that they found, won, earned or bought for each other.   We love the act of giving gifts in our family!

Both sides of the family came to our home again this year for our Christmas dinner.   Potluck style works so well for all of us, and it was delicious.  My kids had such fun playing with their cousin Duke who is almost two.  Having a kids table for dinner with all of the cousins together is just too cute!    We were too pooped this year to walk down to see the Christmas lights after dinner- hopefully we'll make it down this week sometime.

Tia Erica sent these of Baby Sabrina on her first Christmas.  We certainly missed having them home for this special holiday!
