Happy 8th Anniversary

Today I wish my wonderful husband Josh a Happy 8th Anniversary.   It's hard to believe that I met you back at Intel almost 15 years ago now, and here we are partners for life.  I can't imagine having a better partner to walk through this crazy life together with.   I love you!

Beach Day

No camp this week for Jake, so we're filling the week with grandma time, and playtime with friends.  We had a day long play date with Jake's friend Caden yesterday, so to occupy everyone we headed to the beach.   It was a little windy, but the kids lasted for almost 4.5 hours which is a successful trip in my books!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Bill!

We wish Grandpa Bill a very, very HAPPY BIRTHDAY today!   We love you and look forward to celebrating with you today.

We had a wonderful afternoon with the birthday boy.   Lee was so kind to volunteer to watch the girls so that i could join the boys for the Giants game today.  I haven't been to a Giants game in over three years, so it was really cool, the seats were amazing!   Happy, Happy Birthday to Grandpa Bill!

Camp Week 2

It's going to be more difficult to keep this blog updated over the summer having all three kids home.   Last week was week 2 of summer camp for the kids.  Jake went to a week of camp Galileo, and had a blast.  The theme was Mt. Everest, so the art, science and outdoor projects were all based on mountain climbing, teamwork, Nepal and cold weather.   A couple of his best buddies were in his group, but of course he also made a bunch of new friends too.
Here is crazy hair day for camp...a mohawk is pretty much all we can do.   We had many play dates after camp too, with frequent stops at the ice cream store given the heat this week!

The girls went to a three day Fun With Food camp.  The projects the teachers came up with were quite creative, and we'll most definitely be making many of them at home this summer.

The girls and I had pool time and park time too (we tried the new Magical Bridge Playground in Palo Alto for the first time...WOW, wow, wow...it's truly fantastic!).

1 Week of Summer Vacation Down

We're already done with one week of summer vacation!   I've been exhausted with all three home, hence the lack of blog updates.   For a couple of hours on Tue/Wed/Thur all three kids went to Space Camp at Sequoia Parents Preschool.   All ages are together, and the idea was that the girls would be so comfortable with Jake being there, they wouldn't need me there either.   Colbie went for my plan, and hung around with Jake and even ventured off on her own to play, but Addison freaked out and went on errands with me while the other two played for one of the days.   We've got two more weeks of these camps for the girls without Jake, and we'll see how the drop offs go next week.
Space camp was fun, with lots of painting planets, rockets and stars, as well as water play, mud and sand boxes.   Jake ended camp exclaiming that was it was "super fun"...although he is pretty much the easiest kid to please.   Today we had a day with Lee Lee with movie time and then playtime at La Petite Playground.   Fun day!
