Grandma Lee Lee and Grandpa Bill hosted Easter again this year, and they outdid themselves with an amazing brunch spread perfect for all. Getting out the door was chaotic as usual- whenever any sort of "dress up" is requested, we are still met with quite a bit of resistance from the kids. Once Colbie was dressed, oddly Addy asked to be in the identical dress as her- something that she never ever requests especially when the outfit is pink in color, but thank goodness I actually had two pink dresses! Anyway, we arrived to find their front yard covered in Easter eggs, which the kids, including sweet Duke, went straight for upon arrival. Crazy Grandma Lee Lee even got into her Easter Bunny costume again this year to surprise the kids...Duke and Jake were excited to see her, but A & C were again scared to death (they have now seen probably five bunnies this season alone, and none of them went well!). Little Duke went right up to her in that costume though, took a egg right out of her basket and blew her kisses....I mean, how SWEET!!!
After a great brunch, we ventured outside for a little baseball and run around time, and then we headed home. Many thanks to Grandma Lee and Grandpa Bill for the great meal and the generous amount of eggs for the kids!!

The Bunny Arrived- Happy Easter!
Happy Easter family and friends. We miss you Tia Erica, Hassan, Nana and Granddaddy!!
The kids woke up early (Jake 5:30 and Colbie 6:00- then both finally went and woke up Addy at 6:45 as they couldn't stand the anticipation any longer). Jake wrote a note last night to the Bunny requesting that he leave the egg hunt inside this year, as the crazy squirrels get into anything and everything in our backyard and he was afraid of losing his eggs to them again this year. The Bunny obliged, as well as left baskets with a few treats for them as well. It was a very exciting morning as you can imagine, with LOTS of sugar and running around. Thankfully, the Bunny was very smart and color coded the eggs this year- each child was to find only one color eggs, so that everyone ended up with the exact same amount of eggs, as well as the exact same amount of whatever treat was inside the egg. We therefore had zero whining, complaining or tears about things "not being fair", thank goodness!!!! After candy, puzzles and running around, it was time to take off for Grandma's house!

It's Almost Easter!
We filled today with Easter fun! While Jake played baseball, A & C and I went to the community Bunny Breakfast. With a magician, crafts, a bunny and yummy food, the three of us had a nice morning.
Afterwards we decorated Easter cookies and dyed some more Easter eggs at home. We're ready for the bunny tomorrow!

Elkus Ranch Preschool Day
I heard about this special day at Elkus Ranch when it is only open to preschool kids vs. the elementary school field trips that are regularly there every weekday. Jake went on a field trip to Elkus Ranch last year in kindergarten and really enjoyed it, so I thought it would be fun to take the girls on this special day. Grandma Lee Lee joined us on our adventure, and it turned out to be quite a fun day! We touched goats, donkeys and chickens, swung on tire swings and planted some seeds. It's a great farm to visit if you can catch one of these public days!

Tiny Trek Hiking with the Twin Group
The girls and I joined the MPPOM twin group this morning for a great walk/hike/nature lesson at the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve. I'd never been before, but it was a great place for little kids, as there are a ton of trails, all flat, and endless birds, plants, airplanes (it's immediately next to the Palo Alto Airport) and bugs to seek out and explore. It was lead by a Tiny Treks teacher...if you've got little kids in the Bay Area and you both like to get outside, I'd highly recommend taking some Tiny Trek classes! Pretty hilarious to be walking with 12 other sets of twins and two sets of TRIPLETS...all under 5 years old!
Great morning with my girls.
A & C got to plant some seeds in these little cups and bring them home to watch them grow too!
