Santa in a Helicopter?

We took the kids over to Hiller Aviation Museum yesterday to see Santa arrive by helicopter.  Seemed fun and different, and the kids had such a kick out of seeing Santa for the first time this season arrive out of the sky!

Let the Christmas holidays begin!

Instead of hitting the malls all day on Black Friday, we took the family and picked out a beautiful 9 foot Christmas tree.  It was special to have all three kids there to help us pick it out this year.  The kids helped me decorate all day, and they are now already counting down until Santa arrives.

We had a great Thanksgiving meal at my parents house yesterday.  The kids had such fun too.  Thanks for the amazing meal Mom and Lee!

Spontaneous Fun

Josh is off work this week, so we decided to head up to SF for a little city Christmas cheer for the day.   Pier 39 already has their enormous tree up, and the kids got quite a kick out of seeing it.  We also introduced them to the Ghirardelli ice cream store, major win!

 

Thanksgiving Fun at School

Holidays are even more fun now that all of the kids are in school, as they bring home those adorable crafts that I see in the magazines, but never actually find the time to do with them.   Now I just need to devise a plan to save all of them for next year.

50 cents of pure laughter

The girls finally convinced me to put 50 cents into the silly machines at the toy store yesterday, and listening to the 3 minutes of pure laughter and squeals was SO worth the coins.  

Slide

The girls and I go to a park pretty much every day, so to be able to have a long morning at the park WITH big brother this weekend was such a fun treat for them.  Slides are just so much more fun with Jakey to slide with!  

 

AYSO season is complete

Jake's season on the Green Gecko team is officially complete, as well as Josh's first year of coaching.   They are both more excited than ever for soccer to start up again next year.  It was a good team of boys, and Jake's skill and enthusiasm for the game has grown immensely over the season.   There were a huge 16 teams of 5 year old boys in our town alone this year, so we met a ton of people!  All Jake wants to do when he gets home from school these days is to run to the backyard and kick around his soccer ball.   It's a great sport for our little runner!
