More Parties!

I think we're nearing the end of a crazy run of birthday party weekends this summer.  We had a great time last weekend at little Khloe Koontz' 3rd birthday party though.  It was held at My Gym, and the instructors were really amazing.  Jake had a blast (although he was more than slightly out of control with excitement!) and the girls were quite adventurous as well!

15 Month Stats

Addison and Colbie are already 15 months old.  Here are their 15 month stats from the Dr. on Friday:
Addison:
Height: 30.25 inches (42nd percentile)
Weight: 19lb, 9.5 oz (7th percentile)
New words: all done, Tia, tummy
Loves: opening drawers/cabinets, climbing, running

Colbie:
Height: 31 inches (66th percentile)
Weight: 20lb, 2.5 oz (12th percentile)
New Words: thank you, down, no, all done, tummy
Loves: dancing, climbing, reading books, sitting in laps

Jake is in the Pre-K room now!

Jake was moved up to the final Pre-K class this week.  He is now an Eagle!  It's been a bit of a moody transition for him, as his other friends haven't been moved up yet.  Thankfully, his best buddy Kristian is there for Tue/Thur at least!

What a Great Birthday!

Phew- what a wonderful birthday it has been today!   I spent nearly FOUR hours at a spa for the first part of my day...what can beat that?  Thanks to Lee and Bill, I had a wonderfully relaxing, amazing deep tissue (ouch!) massage.   There is just something about being at a spa that just makes me so relaxed and happy.  The spa was followed by shopping with my Mom and Sis- haven't been shopping with them, without kids in many many years, so that was also rare and special.  Then we had the whole family go OUT to dinner at a great Italian spot in our neighborhood.  Thankfully we had a private room for the 11 of us, but still Jakey got antsy about an hour in.  But overall, it was a pretty good dinner, as the girls really behaved well for a good 1.5 hours.  The night ended with a bang with a house alarm and a small fire with my candles...great way to enter the year!

Somehow Addison is already feeding herself with a fork!  Colbie has little interest, but Addy is great already at almost 15 months old!

Airplane Party

We headed to Monterey this weekend for Ben and Brody Bolger's airplane birthday party.  It was timed perfectly for in between nap times, so all of our kids were pretty happy the entire length of the party.  Of course Jen did an amazing job with every last detail.   The Bolger's backyard is a great party spot, and fit an enormous jumpy house with tons of room to spare.  Jake was super happy and the girls had a great time running around, climbing in and out of Brody's push toys.  Great party Bolgers!!

Good Big Brother!

Colbie and Addison have realized that snuggling into big brother's lap is really cozy and fun.  And Jake loves it too!!

Kristian's Party

Jake's best friend from school Kristian had his birthday party this weekend.  His family is just the absolute sweetest, and his adorable Mom did an amazing job with the Cars themed party.  The kids had jumpy houses, water toys, arts & crafts and pinata's to keep them busy.  All of our three were in heaven!!  Sadly I didn't get a good pic of the two boys together- they were just running and running and running!!!

Music in the Park

Our little town is filled with fun throughout the summer.  Friday nights are now free music in the park nights.  We had to give it a try on Friday, so I packed up a picnic and hauled everyone over to the park.  Our friend's Kelly and Caden came for the fun as well, so Jake and Caden danced and ran around throughout the country music show.  Erica and Hassan also joined us as well.  Once the girls got out of the stroller, the fun got a little crazy chasing the girls through the crowd as they wandered off...while we got lots of smile from those around us, we also got a lot of sympathetic looks too!!
